Hi everyone! Hayley here, the Media Liaison at Dreamspinner Press! This month I'm getting married to a very handsome Lithuanian so on top of planning the wedding, we are busy researching places we'd like to go on our honeymoon in Autumn! Here are my Top 5 Honeymoon Destinations! What’s YOUR top honeymoon destination?

  1. Hawaii. All of it! My ideal honeymoon would be a month long stay hopping from island to island and exploring the state. From the rainy, mellow Hilo side on the Big Island, to the busy city of Honolulu, the list of things to do goes on! I’m a sucker for snorkeling so you can bet I’ll bring out my flippers any chance I get.
  2. The Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. Since my husband-to-be is from Lithuania and I get to hear all about the stories of his youth, and neighbouring Baltic countries, what better way to celebrate our marriage than to explore his home and surrounding areas? There are so many great Baltic cruises so that would certainly be a good place to start and from there, exploring deeper afterwards.
  3. Tulum, Mexico. This place is beautiful, full of history, good food, and has of course, places to snorkel. One item on my bucket list is to see the Cenotes and Tulum is very close by to them. And don’t forget the beaches! Because after 19 months of planning our wedding, I’ll need a chance to chill out!
  4. Japan. Again, all of it! There are too many cities and villages I’d like to visit so it’s hard to break this one down. I’m half-Japanese so my desire to go there runs deep and my fiance and I both share the same urge to go there and experience such a different culture than our own Western one. The food, theatre, fashion and design, and overall way of life is something I’d love to dig into.
  5. A road trip down the West Coast of the USA: This one’s for my fiance especially. Since we just moved to Canada after living in the UK, I know he’d love to see all the sights and sounds of a trip through Seattle, Portland, Vegas, San Francisco, Napa Valley, and finally LA and San Diego. Oh and let’s not forget about Disneyland! The ultimate tourist experience in a convertible, driving from place to place and stopping at all the little towns along the way.
