Kris T. Bethke's Top 5 Ways to Procrastinate

I know I’m not alone in needing to procrastinate when there’s something I should be doing but really don’t want to. I’m such a good procrastinator, I’m kind of known for waiting until the last minute to get things done. I always do though! But here are my top favorite ways to procrastinate.

1.      Knitting—it’s the thing that keeps me sane…or at least a little less crazy. And the creative aspect of it really gives me an outlet when I need to avoid things I’d rather not do.

2.      Reading—Of course! What’s better than getting lost in a book, falling in love and visiting different places instead of doing any number of unpleasant tasks? Nothing, that’s what!

3.      Binging my favorite TV shows—this is a good one and one I’m guilty of a lot. Some of my faves are West Wing, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Shadowhunters.

4.      YouTube—one song leads to another leads to a video which leads to something else entirely and before I know it, I’ve fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole, three hours have gone by, and I’ve procrastinated in the best way.

5.      Taking the dog for a walk—practical and enjoyable, and the best way to put off other things. He’s happy to go for as long as I want, with the bonus benefit of getting thinking time while we mosey around the neighborhood.

So that’s my top five favorite ways to procrastinate! What are yours? Tell me in the comments in the Facebook group and be entered to win a title of your choice off my backlist.
