Mark Jennings is at a crossroads. His finance job in the Atlanta nonprofit scene stresses him out, his mother is dying, and his relationship with Brian Jacobs has crashed and burned. - I'm not even sure it's possible for me to articulate the love, joy, hope, grief, sadness and just plain Warmth of this book. T.A. Webb knocked it out of the ballpark, through the end zone, into the goal and its still going.
  It has been a very long time since a book has touched me so deeply. The writing was superb and mainly just very real. It didn't feel like a story....it felt like life. The ups and downs of life and the reality of it that we all live with every moment, every day.
  The characters are your family, your friends, your co-workers, your relatives. People you know that you love, hate, get angry with, forgive and continue on.
  I hope the author continues to write because it would be a huge loss if he didn't. Read this beautiful story. You won't be sorry.

- I know this is a rather late review. My apologies, I had every intention to make this purchase at its release date but I guess life just got in the way and I was recently reminded about it and after having read it I simply could not let it go without giving it its just review. So here it is.....
  Wow! If there were ever an appropriate title this would be it. Chuck full of second chances, this tale of winding through life shows us just how often we can be given another go-around, and also just how simple it is to ignore it, or rather, to be blind to it if we're not paying attention. And yes, where there are second chances there had to have been first chances, and we are pleasantly reminded of how exciting and fun, and sometimes how daunting, those can be.
  So, there is never a dull moment, or even a slight stutter, in this story. Tom grabbed me from the very first sentence and didn't let me go until the very last word. And I didn't mind being man-handled one bit. In fact, I was rather disappointed that it had to end.
  And there it is, a definite 5 out of 5 in my book. Grab yourself a nice cold drink, or a hot one, your choice, but you're going to need some libation to get through this, sit down or lie down, whatever, just relax and enjoy. Oh, and don't forget the tissues ..... plenty of tissues.
