When I had first stumbled upon this series by Karen Stivali it was after I read her free read Tonight. I fell in love with her writing style and knew that I needed to read The Moments in Time series and I was not at all disappointed.

I loved the story of Colin and Tanner! Colin is used to hiding things about himself. His conservative Catholic mom taught him that from an early age. What he finds by hiding in his room with Tanner becomes more than he thought it could ever become. But life isn’t as easy as just staying hidden from the world and the impact staying hidden can have on something wonderful, especially when live is involved. I love a coming out story; the way they develop, the growth of the characters, and how they handle the emotional and sometimes life changing events that happen.

Robert did a great job narrating this story. He was excellent at portraying through his voice the emotions that we expect to hear in this type of story. Although he didn’t give distinct and clear voices to each character he had a way with his voice that allowed that character's personality to shine through. Tanner has such a fun personality that it makes the story and their banter all the more better. Plus being able to hear those emotions, especially Colin with his coming out, added so much more to the story that didn’t come across as well with my own voice in reading.

I cannot wait to get to listen to the next two audiobooks in this series!

Wow.. I won a copy of this book in the Valentines Day blog contest on Facebbok. I've never read this author before.. But I will be again for sure! I love Tanner and Collin so much! How patient and understanding Tanner is about Collins hang ups.. *sighs* .. And the sex.. Holy hotness!! I finished this book and immediately looked to see if book 2 was out and yay it was! Sooo good I had to finish book 2 before I could come back to review the first one! Lol. Now for book 3.... Must read for everyone that loves 2 boys in love!! Perfect!

Let me start by saying that I really like this book, even that it was a bit short for my taste. I find it that most authors can't write a satisfying story at +- 100 pages, but Karen Stivali did it! Yes, i would had love to read a bit more of the history between Collin and Tanner.
Collin and Tanner have been roommates for 6 months! and they both thought that the other was straight!
Tanner is a lot more comfortable with his sexuallity and he decides that his feelings for Collin are growing to the point that he decides to stop bringing Wendy over!
Collin has a lot of baggage, since he was raise by a very religious mother! So he is full of guilt.
Tanner is very patience with Collin, and Collin really tries hard to overcome his upbringing. At times, it feels that Tanner was a lot older than Collin, but they are the same age, but overall, I really like the dynamic between the two MC.
I would had like a least another 50 more pages and some scenes outside their room.
The ending was good, but we need another book!!! We need to find out what happens over the summer Break!!!

Readers first meet Collin and Tanner in the first chapter. Collin expecting Tanner to bring back his girlfriend for his weekly sex session, had moments before, crawled into bed and was pretending to sleep only he didn't make it into his usual position facing away from Tanner's bed. With no girlfriend in sight Collin assumes Tanner will just go to bed but Tanner just starts to jerk off. Collin is getting turn on but doesn't want Tanner to know he's awake so he continues to pretend to be asleep only to be caught when Tanner finishes. Tanner is totally cool with Collin watching. Revelations are made and it starts a chain of events Collin embraces and fears.
There were fun moments at the start and I liked that. Collins struggle to embrace his sexuality and struggle with his upbringing was fascinating to see. The way he handled it and him finally just coming out and accepting himself was awesome to read. I love that he had support from both Wendy and Tanner (although he was more emotinally and physically invested). Collins mother was someone I wanted to shake but I'm sure she probably has her own reasons for being the way she is.
The sexual exploration that Collin was experiencing with Tanner was nice and I enjoyed reading it. There was a lot of it though and I kind of wished there were just a bit more of Tanner and Collin just hanging out instead of being all over each other. I'm lookking forward to seeing book two and three.

Collin is a student who's father died when he was little and he and his two brothers were raised by their conservative religious mother.
In college Collin meets his sexy roommate Tanner and he's developing a little crush on him, but he thinks sinds Tanner is straight and has a girlfriend nothing will come of it. But he is wrong because Tanner is bisexual and he has a little crush on Collin too.
They hook up when Collin watches Tanner masturbate:

They start a secret relationship and explore their mutual interest in each other but neither of them is really out so they have to be careful, especially around Collins mother who really wouldn't understand.
Both Collin and Tanner are very likeable, and it's really fun and enjoyable to read about their developing relationship. When the story ended though i felt there was some unfinished business, especially between Collin and his mother. And i would have loved reading a little more about Collin's relationship with his two brother's. But then i saw at the ending of this book that this book was a first in a serie of three so i assume and hope that all will be revealed in the other two books.
The author did a good job writing this story, i enjoyed it and i can't wait for the second and third book to come out because i'm very curious to find out how things will be developing.
Overall i really liked it and i will definitely be looking forward to reading more books from this author!
