- This book is really good ... I am so happy I was able to finally read it.
  Mr. Mayne has an incredible way of writing and telling the story.
  Brandt and Donnelly are partners and have not realize that they need to accept the incoming message ... That is they are perfect for each other.
  That is done with an unconventional investigation that Brandt is involved.
  The author keeps you entrail in the story ... Wanting more of them. Laughing, crying ... Yes ... Crying ... But most of all hoping for the best for all the characters.
  The supporting characters are hilarious ... Oh my Bryce ... Nestor ... Will and Lucas and Chris ... Donnelly's sister.
  Something that I have to say and applaud Mr. Mayne ... Is his way to targeting the issue of marriage equality and along witj that the heroes in our military.
  Well done ... Mr. Mayne ... You got yourself a new loyal reader.

  Fantastic read! I recommend it to anyone who is a lover of m/m romance.
  What I loved about this book: The characters! Every single one of them (including the supporting characters) added value to this story. Bryce and Nestor, and their flamboyant personalities, made me laugh out loud on several occassions. Even our Heroes, Brandt and Donnelly, had me laughing to the point of tears at one point - a personal first for me (when reading a book).
  What I didn't love (but didn't detract from the journey...much): Parts of the love scenes were too poetic for my tastes. The author explained the emotions being conveyed and discovered not once, but multiple times, taking away from the overall impact to the scene and the character's self-discovery. In short, it all kind of got lost in translation, forcing me to stop and reread to ensure sure I was following their mindset properly. Add in some slightly jarring POV shifts throughout, and you have a book *just this side* of absolutely perfect.
