Rayna Vause's Top 5 Paranormal TV Shows

Thursday July 19, 2018

I am a huge fan of paranormal romance. The books I've written probably give that away. This passion isn't just in my reading materials, though, it permeates my TV and movie viewing as well. So, today I'm doing a list of my five favorite paranormal TV shows (selections are subject to change depending on my mood :-)).

5.) Forever Knight - An 800 year old vampire who lives in Toronto works as a cop solving crimes to atone for his sins with the help of a beautiful medical examiner. I enjoyed this show so much (except the end). I especially enjoyed all the sexual tension between the main characters of Nick and Natalie.

4.) Supernatural  - No list of paranormal TV is complete without the delectable Winchester brothers, especially since an episode of this show was the inspiration for my first book. This is a show I save to binge watch because it never fails to entertain and one episode at a time is not enough.

3.) Wynonna Earp – This show is about the descendants of Wyatt Earp and their ongoing quest to end a family curse by killing 77 revenants. There are so many reasons to love this show, but one of the biggest is that Wynonna is kickass, smartass, and fun as hell .

2.) Lost Girl - This show features a succubus named Bo. This show is super fun, super sexy and one I highly recommend. Kenzie, the lone human character, has to be one of my favorites. She’s funny, sassy, and street smart.

1.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Surely you saw this coming. Buffy will always be at the top of my list of all time favorite paranormal shows with some of the most quotable lines of all time. "If the apocalypse comes beep me." Ok show of hands who loves the musical episode?

I know you are likely asking, "But what about True Blood?" I admit I hear that the show was fantastic, but alas I have never seen it. It’s on my to watch list, honest. So, what are your favorite paranormal shows?
