Astrid Amara

Astrid Amara lives in Bellingham, Washington, with her husband, four dogs, three goats, and a horse. By day she is a civil servant. By night she is either writing, riding horses, or sleeping. She is an active animal rights advocate and spends most of her free time volunteering with various goat and dog rescue organizations. Her novel The Devil Lancer won the 2015 Rainbow Award for Best Gay Fantasy, and Song of the Navigator was runner-up for the 2015 Rainbow Award for Best Science Fiction. Her novel The Archer’s Heart was a finalist for the 2008 Lambda Literary Award for Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror.
