Damon Shaw trained as an actor, his work winning both an Evening Standard and a Time Out award. He slipped into theater design, directing, and puppetmaking and was enjoying carving out a career as a designer when he abruptly fell in love with a Spaniard and moved to Lanzarote in the Canary Isles. Since then he has occasionally worked as a puppeteer and theater designer, but his attention has been focused on carpentry, cats, dogs, and domesticity.
He currently cares for his partner and runs a market stall where he sells his more-profitable wooden designs to the endless stream of passing tourists. He has invented a lunar tide clock, was commissioned to make a set of six-foot-tall wooden machines in the style of Leonardo Da Vinci, and most recently began to write short fiction.
He met Rod Santos in an online crit group called Liberty Hall. They have collaborated on two stories so far and hope to enjoy many more.
